In case we haven’t met, my name is Mike Cutler. I’ve been involved with music for over 30 years. It has been a huge part of my life since receiving my first guitar at age 9. After my music studies at the University of Massachusetts in classical guitar performance I had the opportunity to work with Luthier Lane Poor. Before long I was in charge of the service department. Eventually I became involved in all areas of production of Lane’s electric bass and upright electric bass designs. During this time I had the honor of building basses for Jack Casady (Jefferson Airplane/Hot Tuna) and the late Allen Woody (Allman Brothers Band/Gov’t Mule).

After moving my business to Tucson in 1996, I immediately began to service the local music community. In 2010, I relocated my shop to Sticks n’ Strings in order to create a one-stop music store. I am glad that this venture has allowed us to provide quality repair service to the Southern Arizona community. It’s always a great pleasure to provide my knowledge and skills to our clients.
